Cabinets are Up!

James worked his butt off this weekend, and installed all the wall and the base cabinets.
The oven will go in the large opening in the base cabinet next to the fridge.
All that is left now, is the wiring for the oven, and the finishing touches like window moulding and wall organizers.

Looking the Other Way

Yikes, it's been a month since I posted....sorry for all you who check in often!
Here are some photos taken from our kitchen, looking twords the dining/living room space. Eventually, it will be mostly dining room, with the computer area and a small seating area. I'm looking for a 5'x 9' braided rug for under the table. James will hang some kind of hanging light fixture over the table after we decide where it will stay.
We now have all the cabinets for the kitchen (see photo below). They are sitting in the garage waiting for us to build and install. Keep your fingers crossed that we can get to it this weekend. I really need my wire storage rack back so I can finish setting up my sewing room. You can see the doorway to that room in the photos.

It has been joyous having running water in the kitchen these last few weeks. I will never take for granted a working kitchen again.
