A Change of Seasons

When we first saw this house, it was barely Spring. Our first full season here was Summer. Now, we are experiencing the Fall. Not many places are more beautiful than this part of the USA in Fall. I have seen the buses full of leaf peepers pass through town on their way west to the Berkshires. Peak is just now passing, moving south to where we used to live.
Here are some photos of our yard in it's new colors.

Updates: The propane is in, we can cook inside! Today I'll be using the cooktop to make the first indoor meal; butternut squash, corn and white bean soup.
We also ordered 2 cords of wood, but James says it seems to be more than that. Later this week he will pick up a new set of doors for the fireplace.

New Appliances In

In the last week, we have added the 3 new appliances in the kitchen. James cut a hole in the butcher block corner unit for the gas stovetop. We moved the old fridge to the garage and brought in the new. We also put the dishwasher in it's cabinet. (appliances still have their shrink wrap on)
The gas company will be here tomorrow to install a gas line. So, tomorrow night I will be able to cook our first dinner inside the house! How exciting!
Some time next week, the plumber will be back to install the faucet, sink and dishwasher. No more dish washing in the tub.

At some point, we will head back to IKEA to look at kitchen cabinets. We can't decide between white and birch. We'll need to see them both in person. Shucks, another trip to IKEA....LOL
