We have Sheetrock!

Here are some before and after photos of the kitchen walls. There is one wall left to cover, but we need to have the electrical inspector return and recheck the wiring. These 2 walls will be painted a dark blue after the plastering is complete.

Well, since the kitchen is not done, I thought I would post the photos I found on the IKEA website of the stuff we are going to use. First, is the corner unit that will be used for the gas cooktop. We will cut a hole in the top, and drop the cooktop in.
Next is the sink, which will be to the left of the cooktop corner unit. We may use a faucet like in the next photo, have not decided yet. After that and to the left of the sink, is the dishwasher cabinet.
We will be getting 6 of the cabinets in the next photo.
Next, is the 12 drawer unit that will serve as the island separating the kitchen from the dining area.
Last is the built in oven cabinet. It will go on the wall opposite the sink, same wall as the fridge. We have not figured out exactly what to do with that wall....we will see how the other wall goes then decide.

Update for July 20

Yes, it's been a while, but we have not really gotten anything photo worthy done. The electrical inspector came and gave James a thumbs up for the most part. There are a few things that need to be corrected. James did get some of the insulation put in the kitchen, but then unexpected company called and we ended up having a dinner party last Sunday, and again Tuesday night. Things we need to do other than the house, keep popping up, it being summer and all. This weekend looks free and clear, so hopefully James can get al the insulation installed in the kitchen, hang the drywall, and correct some electric there too. In case you think he has been doing all the work....I finished installing the kitchen floor about a week and a half ago, and it looks good! To speed things along, we are thinking of hiring a plaster guy to finish the kitchen walls after they are up. A Pro can do what we need in an afternoon while sleeping, but for us it would be trial and error although simple. We really need to get this kitchen done.
